Yesterday evening in the middle of frying some ground beef for a taco dinner, the power went off...
AGH! Unannounced, no warning and I'm stuck with a pan full of half cooked ground beef..yuk! It remained off for over 2, yes 2 hours!!!!
Today in the Guam
PDN, the headlines read "
DPW stripped of control". The story goes on to say,
"The island's dysfunctional and mismanaged solid waste system is "beyond correction by conventional methods," according to a federal judge, who yesterday took solid waste operations away from the local government and placed it under the authority of a court-appointed receiver out of Virginia."It seems to me that
CUC is dysfunctional, mismanaged and beyond correction by
conventional methods (or whatever method they currently are using).... Can the
CNMI government be stripped of their authority over
CUC and the court appoint a receiver?? Is this possible?? Would it help?? It seems at this point anything is better than whats going on now.
I'm adding 2lbs of wasted ground beef right under my 30" color television set (which blew out during a sudden outage a couple months ago) on my list of "Things
CUC will never compensate me for destroying".
AGH!
