Forget the baby steps...I'm jumping!

So in the spirit of all the tails and tales being blogged about lately, Im adding another one of my own...Anyone who really knows me knows me, Knows that I have a love for anything mermaid...I collect mermaids, I make mermaid dolls (well I did when I had more free time), I have a "memaid" (me as a mermaid) tattoo'd on my back and mermaids have always been the main topic of most of my poetry...This is one of my older poems fittingly titled " A Mermaid's Tale" ...
A Mermaid's Tale

Beneath the waves and crashing tides
the endless summer swells
beneath the palest blue moonlight
is where this mermaid dwells.

Once I walked amongst all men
And called the land my home
But now I live beneath the sea
A curse done of my own

I swim the endless waters
In search of my true love
To rescue me from the depth
And take me back above

I often send my mermaid song
On the wings of a white sea bird
To carry off to unknown lands
In hopes it may be heard

Till then I search the endless waves
Beneath the stars so pale
My one regret…. the wish I made
To have a mermaid's tail.

So weird, my cousin James is a fisherman and I passed by him this morning and asked if he caught his mermaid yet. Thank you for sharing Tami!

Tamara, I love my link comment, on that train of thought..If you looked as good in body art (as a mermaid) as your poetry is soothing, Well I gotta see that....
