Because Inquiring minds want to know...

Just got back from checking out the "Federalization without Representation" motorcade. I counted exactly 105 cars coming out of fishing basin, plus three police escorts. So I would say, since the average family has two cars on this island..roughly about 50 families..The only people I recognized were Greg Cruz's wife Jean and blogger Bruce Bateman.

Looks like the people have spoken once again, clearly in favor of Federalization, since this anti-federalization rally is not even a close comparison to the "Unity March" and its 10-15,000 plus participants...

Tamara, Are you sure you didn't count a few fishermen going home?
Anyway, Cruz showed his hand today and it's empty...

There were 136 vehicles when they passed my place in San Anton...counting the police vehicle leading the motorcade.

I got home to Kagman before the motorcade came through and I sat at side and counted as they went by..there were about 50 cars left by the time they reached here. I'm just confused as to where they put the "thousands" of people the Variety reported showed up. I sure hope they didn't stuff people in the trunks of their cars as they drove around????

I've heard between 50-150 cars...but I wasn't there.

One of the participants told me that he was very happy with the turnout.

EE told me at the AACPC MLK activities that Greg Cruz said they included all the people they saw along the way who waved to them in their estimate of the number of participants.

I told him:

1) that should have been in the second paragraph of his story,

2) the Variety has egg on its face,

3) that it was a huge blunder to turn a representation of Greg Cruz into a banner headline as if it were established fact (wonder who made that awful decision).

The Variety apparently was satisfied that it was true because Mr. Cruz's claim was also made by the Governor and Charles Reyes. Go figure.
